The majority of my work is in clay, but I also work with wax, wood, salt, plaster and metal. The materials in my sculptures have many identities. Porcelain appears at once to be bread, bone, rawhide and stone, as well as both hard and soft. Like clay, wax can be both fluid and solid. In my work, the unscented colorless paraffin and microcrystalline wax exists as a finished product, rather than as a means to an end.   view full text here
