White has long been the ground on which we apply all other colors and images. It represents newness and transition, clarity, light and beauty. It also reflects and creates isolation, barrenness and death. It is a void waiting to be filled, to receive color, which is the evidence of life.    view full text here

Three pieces made of cone 9 porcelain (trunk not pictured). They are constructed post firing and structurally define the forms of a chest of drawers, roll top desk, and curved top trunk. Pieces are arranged to frame an implied space.
