Porcelain is derived from natural materials, but it took centuries to develop a method by which to form and fire it that produced controlled and predictable results. In my work the porcelain exists in its most unnatural state. Structurally open the porcelain spans large distances and has thin fragile elements that appear to defy gravity and the natural working properties of the material.    view full text here
